Four Brassica genomes loaded
We have expanded our collection by adding four Brassica genomes: Brassica rapa Fpc_v1.3, Brassica rapa Chiifu v3.5, Brassica oleracea v1.0, and Brassica napus Da-Ae. As usual, aligning chromosomes from different species using Persephone illustrates the structural rearrangements between the organisms.
Unfortunately, the latest canola (Brassica napus var. napus) published by JGI is under “restricted status” which bans publishing whole genome analysis. Persephone is the tool designed for this kind of research, so, we will have to wait until the authors submit their own study and remove the restriction.
